This 6-week intermediate course is perfect for graduates of our beginner class or confident sewists looking to expand their skills. Each week, you’ll work on a new garment or accessory. Gaining hands-on experience with more advanced techniques like sleeve insertion, zippers, facings, and fit adjustments.

You’ll complete multiple pieces over the course, building a mini wardrobe while boosting your confidence, precision, and creativity.

The course finishes with a celebratory fashion show, where you’ll showcase your handmade creations to friends and family, with a glass of prosecco in hand!

Start the course by creating a simple garment. Learn techniques like darts, waistbands, and hemming while refreshing your cutting and machine skills.

Accessory: Tote Bag or Clutch
Create a structured accessory using interfacing and lining. You’ll develop your topstitching and finishing techniques for a polished, professional look.

Garment 2: Blouse or Top
Sew a custom-fit blouse or top. Learn how to insert sleeves, apply neck facings, and refine your approach to pressing and shaping.

Garment 3: Trousers or Jumpsuit
Move into more advanced construction with trousers or a simple jumpsuit. Master zippers, waistbands, and fitting techniques for lower-body garments.

Garment 4: Dress or Statement Piece
Put your skills to the test with a final, personalised garment. Choose a simple dress or elevated piece and focus on detail and finish.

Final Touches & Styling
Finish all garments, add any last details, and receive tips on pressing, labeling, and styling your looks in preparation for the fashion show.
