Build confidence through hands-on exercises and leave with homework to reinforce your skills using scrap fabric at home.

Discover how to read sewing patterns, understand layout symbols, and prepare your materials. Bring your fabric ready for garment work.

Master the art of pattern cutting by learning to read instructions and adjust patterns for fit. Practice laying out fabric correctly, cutting accurately, and transferring markings. Prepare all your garment pieces for sewing. This week sets the foundation for constructing your first handmade piece.

Garment Construction

Start bringing your garment to life! Assemble your project using techniques such as sewing darts, binding, sleeves, or waistbands, depending on your design. Try on for fit checks and make basic alterations. Continue sewing at home if needed to complete the main construction before the final week.

Finish your garment with confidence by adding final details like hems, pressing, and optional embellishments. Learn garment care and labeling.
